Get published and funded through Global Top Round 2022

Disclosure: This article has been written as a part of a paid cooperation with Global Top Round.

Studios today face a challenge when it comes to finding the right publisher or getting an investment to scale their projects. Global Top Round’s annual conference helps overcome these hurdles. Whether you’re a team of two or a team of twenty, there’s an opportunity for everyone to find the right investment- and publishing partner. Create a pitch deck and apply for a chance to head to Luleå, Sweden and attend GTR 2022.

The Global Top Round Conference is an exclusive industry event for game developers, publishers, and experts from all over the world. It’s invite only, because this is not just another conference. It’s the place where 20 pre-selected studios can present themselves and their games for a chance to become a Global Top Round partner. This opens the door to top industry advice and funding through the investment partners.

Grow your business

Global Top Round VP of Global Business Development Pontus Mähler underlines the incredible opportunity for (starting) indie studios of being invited to the private event. “We are looking for studios that want to grow and growth doesn’t always mean 1000+ employees. It can also mean staying small and lean, but developing better games will result in the growth of your business.”

Create a pitch deck and apply for a chance to head to Luleå, Sweden and attend GTR 2022.

Exclusively to MeetToMatch and IndieGameBusiness subscribers, Global Top Round has extended the application deadline to 9 September with the conference set to take place November 9 -10. Apply for your chance to attract the attention of investors and publishers.

Out of all that apply (that may be as many as 350 studios), only 20 studios will be invited to the annual conference in Sweden. At the end of the conference, 10 studios will be inducted into GTR’s industry-leading accelerator program.

Competition is fierce

Mähler: “Picking 10 studios from 20 amazing ones is incredibly hard. That’s why we use this particular format. It encourages applicants to compete at the highest level and showcase the best available gameplay. With only 19 other studios pitching to our partner publishers and investors, the stakes are high and competition is fierce at GTR.”

The top 10 studios are eligible to receive funding between $40,000 and $360,000 through GTR and its angel network. Once onboard GTR becomes your valued business partner, significantly helping you in finding additional funding. GTR has invested in more than 50 game companies in the last few years and in the past 2 years they have achieved more than $24 million in financing.

Entertain people

“We look for good games and good teams. Sounds simple right? Well, most of the time you’ll find one or the other”, says Mähler. “In the end we go for a good mixture of teams that we believe can turn into real businesses that make many successful games, create several jobs and entertain people.”
