Come and meet the Scandinavian talent this summer

Disclosure: This article has been written as a part of a paid cooperation with GameHub Scandinavia.

Remember when we introduced you to GameHub Scandinavia 2.0 here and told you about the close knit partnership between educational institutions, the public sector, and private businesses in Sweden and Denmark. The goal? To put Scandinavia on the map as a  serious game development community and to show what they are capable of.

Leading men Mikkel Fledelius Jensen and Magnus Ling (of Denmark and Sweden respectively) had this to say about it: “The Nordic countries have a strong tradition of being creative and with such an incredible talent pool we will continue to see great games coming out of this region.”

SSpotlighting 11 games from starting studios and veteran developers in the Scandinavian game showcase already sparked direct interest from publishers.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Jensen and Ling emphasize the importance of presenting the absolute best to potential business partners. That’s why at the incubators all studios and projects go through a rigorous screening process. Jensen: “We are doing all the due diligence that needs to be done. Before we go out and present our talent you can be sure it has been curated. We’re confident to say that we offer quality.”

Now with gamescom/devcom coming up in the next  week, GameHub Scandinavia is gearing up for a big push to bring Danish and Swedish companies in the crosshairs of venture capitalists and publishers, now presenting an irresistible showreel.

If you like what you see and want to be a part of the next Scandinavian wave of ice cool games, make sure to get in touch with these studios and discuss publishing deals, investment opportunities or other topics through the MeetToMatch platform.

Also check out the video pitch session of selected studios from GameHub Scandinavia, happening on Wednesday August 25 from 15:30 – 17:00 Berlin time CEST (9:30 – 11:00 New York (EST), 06:30 – 08:00 Los Angeles Time (PST), viewable on the same platform too.
